A Letter from the Product Founder

Dear Friend:

I lived 20+ years without thinking about keeping a diary. The process seemed troublesome, and my life didn't seem as exciting as those in short videos. I usually wouldn't read them again.

Plus, I feared family members finding my true thoughts (experienced it as a child, never wrote again).

But recently I heard a podcast where two hosts shared in an unexpected way - they took out their planners and randomly flipped to pages to talk about what they recorded that day. I listened with great interest and realized they were recording very subtle, everyday stories that would mostly happen in my life too.

I asked myself, if I had to recall this past year, what days could I remember, and what happened on which day? Very difficult. Days passed in chaos, busyness, and numbness. Suddenly I understood:

I really became numb as a worker, not paying attention to the many small and beautiful things in life. They piece together my life one by one. They exist, but I was truly ignoring them.

So I decided to start keeping a diary again.

But! I still found many pain points with simple diary writing that felt anti-human:
Like too little feedback (wrote it and that's it, no feedback, no follow-up unless actively recalled);
Like occasionally not knowing what to write, or writing things that were just mundane logs that even I found boring.

So having determination alone isn't enough, I need a product that can help me develop this habit well.
